Saved By The Bell Pop Up Diner

I totally geeked out when Saved by the Max, a diner modeled after the eatery in the 90’s sitcom the Saved By The Bell set up shop here in Chicago. The diner was a huge hit, so they agreed to stay well past the original end date which means you all have until May 31, 2017 to experience this blast from the past. Since reservations are hard to come by, my wife and I got there two hours before they open just to make sure we would be let in if they had a no show.

It was all I hoped for and then some. I’ve been in this space before so to see it transformed into one of my favorite childhood shows was phenomenal. I expected to enjoy the props and staging, but I didn’t expect the Lisa Turtle shake or Mac and Screech to blow my mind.

If you could pick an old show to pop-up in your city, what would it be?
