About a year ago I had the pleasure of providing photography coverage at an event for Tori Kelly with a few other local bloggers, and that’s where I met Michelle. She’s an English major who works in the medical field and runs a fashion blog called The Native ‘Stilo.WCW: How would you describe your personal style?
Michelle: My style is literally all over the place! Honestly, it depends on what mood I’m in. One day I can be a rock girl and the next I can wear a street style look. I think it has to do with my Gemini personality haha.WCW: Do you have any tips for style when relying on transit?
Michelle: Always, always, always carry a scarf with you. Not only are they great to go around your neck but they can be helpful to wrap around your head when it’s cold or raining and you have to wait for your local bus/train.WCW: What’s your favorite accessory?
Michelle: Rings. I love rings. You can wear something so simply but your bold statement can be worn on your fingers. My favorite way to wear them is by stacking them.WCW: If I peeked in your closet, what brands or designs would I see repeat?
Michelle: Zara. Definitely Zara. Akira would come close followed by miscellaneous designers from Belmont Army.WCW: What’s in your purse?
Michelle: Do you really want to know? Haha just kidding. My Erin Condren planner, lipstick, a pen, headphones, iPad, charger, wallet, gloves, mint, hand sanitizer, a necklace, carry-on perfume, tampons, receipts, business cards, Greek yogurt trail mix.WCW: Are you working? If so, what’s your profession? Do you dress differently for work?
Michelle: Yes I am working. I’m a medical receptionist at a hospital. My dress attire is business casual which is a good thing because I can always dress up. (There are times though where I wish I could wear jeans, sneakers, and a tee and call it a day.)WCW: Name your favorite place to shop online and in store.
Michelle: I love Akira. If I had to pick one place to shop forever, it would be Akira in store and online. All images were captured by Anthonie Arboleda. If you haven’t already, stop by and visit The Native ‘Stilo via Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
