WCW: Do you have any style tips for relying on transit?

TCP: When I have to do longer commutes, especially using public transportation, comfort is key! And considering that Chicago is a city where no matter what you do, you always have to walk A LOT, I try to wear the comfiest shoes in my closet all the time. Lately I’ve been only shopping “walking proof ” shoes, and with comfy I’m not saying sneakers only, there are a lot of heels and stylish boots perfect for walking. Ones with thick heels or soles are the ones that work better for me.

WCW: What’s your favorite accessory?
TCP: Shoes! They are the final touch to an outfit. Only changing the shoes can make an outfit look completely different. I also like necklaces, I have way too many, but I haven’t worn them that much lately. Instead I’ve been all about hats and beanies. It’s too hard to chose only one “favorite” thing.

WCW: Do you dress differently for work?
TCP: For now, I have the “privilege” of being a full time blogger and “work” from home every day. Even when i really don’t have to, I like to dress up a little bit as soon as I wake up. I feel more productive that way. In case you’re wondering, my blogging uniform consist of comfy jeans, a cute top with a cardigan on top. If I’m the mood I accessorize too!

WCW: If I peeked in your closet, what brands or designs would I see repeat?
TCP: I’m a girl who doesn’t have favorites. I would say I have phases. Now I’m the biggest fan of fleece turtleneck tops and I them in 6 different colors. Probably because I’m cold.

WCW: What’s in your purse?
TCP: Eos hand cream and lip balm, hand sanitizer, keys, a card holder, wallet, emergency makeup bag, blotting paper, and a little bottle of perfume.

WCW: Name your favorite place to shop online and in store.
TCP: Lately sheinside has been my number one online shopping happy place. Other than that I do most of my shopping in thrift stores or Nordstrom Rack when I feel like splurging . Also I’ve been in uniqlo twice this week shopping for fleece tops , and just because of that I’m going to add it to this list too.

WCW: Any tips for surviving Chicago winters while remaining stylish?
TCP: My best advice will be to pay attention to the details, most of the times we are under a coat, and most people won’t see the beautiful outfit under it. So I often wear accessories and clothes that add some visual interest to the outfit. For example, beautiful shoes, a chic hat, or even better, a patterned (or at least colorful ) coat. This makes me stand out from the multitude of black coats out there.
