I’m a “but first coffee kind of girl” and I found myself in desperate need of a business card to hand every barista when they want to chat about my outfit, hair or accessories. I decided Windy City Wardrobe could be my solution, and to my surprise no one owned the domain name. It was exactly 365 days ago this journey of fashion, photography and prose began. Without any research or plan I opened up my heart, and my closet for the world to see. I’m glad to say each of you accepted me with open arms. It felt as if I found my long lost sisters. This encouraged me to dig deeper and six months in the hard work started to attract unsolicited freelance writing opportunities, sponsored post pitches, and invitations to blogger events. It was exciting, unexpected and overwhelming all at the same time. In the beginning I said yes to everything and quickly became exhausted.
There have been numerous unexpected hurdles and delights along the way and I appreciate each of you going along for the ride. So thankful to have you all (new & original readers) as my traveling companions. To show my appreciation I am hosting a Martini & Manicure Party!

Each comment, like, share, and follow made this experience so enriching and positive. In a world full of chaos, competition, and fat shaming I take solace in my peaceful corner of the blogosphere.
P.S. I didn’t forget about you; a virtual celebration for those who can’t attend is in the works. Stay tuned.
