  • How did you choose the name for your blog?

The Fashion Huntress was actually my mom’s idea! She came up with it one day- and we decided it was the perfect name!

  • When or how did you become aware of your entrepreneurial spirit?

Hmm, that’s a tricky question! I’m not sure I have an entrepreneurial spirit; I feel like I don’t take a ton of risks (except for with my clothes- ha!), but I really love having the opportunity to blog, offer tips to others, and form such an amazing blogging community.

  • Name 3 things on your bucket-list.

I actually don’t have a bucket-list! I am a planner, through and through, but I like to take adventures as they come, versus planning for them. I would say probably, if anything, having my own business is on my “bucket list,” and I definitely try and make strides every day to make that dream a reality.

  • Describe your best practices for organization and balance.

I am an endless list-maker! I generally always have pen, paper, post-its, and my iPhone to-do list with me. I even keep pen and paper next on my night stand for when I have ideas or remember to-dos before going to bed, which seems to happen all the time, right?!

  • How do you unwind?

I thrift (of course!), drink lots of tea, catch up on Netflix, read, sew, draw, bike ride, and hangout with all of my favorite people.

  • What’s your favorite movie or television show?

My favorite movie is Almost Famous; I could watch that movie on repeat. I just love it’s brilliance and layers- how complicated and simple people are, and how similar our fears, realities, and dreams are at the end of the day.

  • Name your favorite place to shop online and in store.

I don’t do much online shopping because I like to clear my mind in stores-! I actually don’t have a favorite store, because I really love variety!

  • What’s your favorite fragrance?

I absolutely adore Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel.

  • What’s your favorite line of cosmetics?

I really love the Make-Up Forever line and Smashbox.

  • Where are you from originally?

Outside of Chicago- born, raised, and remain here!

  • Tell us about your favorite vacation or adventure.

I lived abroad for a year in Spain, which truly was life changing and enabled me to become fully bilingual. Becoming bilingual and living abroad is a gift I could never repay to my parents; they have always had a strong commitment to supporting my education, as well as that of my siblings. I’ve also been blessed to travel quite a bit, which in it of itself, is a priceless education.

  • What is your greatest professional and personal achievement thus far?

Get ready for the cheesy (but completely honest) truth, I feel like every day I can get up on my own two feet, work another day, and offer service to those in need, I’ve met my daily purpose in life. Having worked with endless individuals with chronic illness and terminal illness, I try and remain humble. Every day is a gift, and I try to make the most of it- sometimes I’m successful, sometimes less so, but everyday I keep trying to do my best to live out what I think is my purpose and aligns with my values. img_3886
