Belle of the Ball

Get these luxe looks for less here.

So, year after year you were always a bridesmaid, and you were beginning to believe you’d never be a bride. However, these days the dream has become a reality and you realize the truth is planning a wedding is not glamorous it’s absolutely exhausting. Well I’ve got news for you…Life may not be a fairytale but your wedding can be! Be the belle of the ball you always dreamed of as you walk down the aisle in a beautiful empire wedding dress. The Empire design is one of those rare styles that are figure flattering for a variety of shapes and sizes.

If you’re curvy find a dress that is fitted at the bust and flows out gradually. If you’re busty avoid necklines that go straight across the chest; you’ll look your best in a sweetheart or scooped neckline. If you’re apple shaped opt for a bodice with a lot of texture, lace or ruching that flows downward into a full length gown. If you’re rectangular shaped look for dresses that create the illusion of curves around the hips, bust, and waist and for the neckline think ruffles and short loose sleeves.

5 Things The Bride To Be Should Avoid

1) Don’t spend most of the budget on your dress. You will find yourself inviting guests you barely know in hopes of extra gifts or having a cash bar at the reception.

2) Don’t drastically change your hair color or cut close to the big day. Do several test runs of hairstyles with full makeup and allow yourself plenty of time to make changes until you’re satisfied.

3) Don’t rush to pick the brides maids;it’s a big responsibility and not everyone you love is up to the task.

4) Don’t get a spray tan or spend a significant amount of time in the sun. I think it’s safe to say that no one wants to end up showcasing a sun burn or a splotchy skin tone at the alter.

5) And last, but not least don’t overdo it on alcohol or late nights out. If you decide to have a girls night out have the celebration at least a couple weeks before the wedding. After all the planning you don’t want to be disappointed with the photos because you look bloated and tired.

great advice on new hair style. If you try a new style, make sure it comfortable and you are able to hug guests, kiss your spouse and move around without worrying about messing your hair. Also, if you don’t do trial runs…you may be stuck with a style you don’t like on your special day! Great, informative article!👍
