Tips For The Modern Professional Woman

Handbags

Tote bags and messenger bags keep you looking professional and more productive because of the structure and easy access to items. There is a pocket, zipper or pouch for things like work keys, transit passes, tablets, files, hand sanitizer, and cosmetics. I’ve always had good luck in finding stylish and functional handbags at aldo, and call it spring.

Wardrobe Update

If you are new to the professional world or looking to update to more age appropriate clothing don’t fret; it’s easier than one might think. You can easily achieve this by adding a couple cardigans, blazers, and slacks. Head over to Forever 21 and NY & Co. for affordable cardigans and blazers from size small to 3x. Then look for some well fitting slacks at JCPenny and Macy’s.  But if you can afford to spend a little more for high quality talbots has the longest lasting slacks.

Accessories

Immature accessories will alert your new colleagues to you being a newbie. So update your accessories by adding stud earrings in pearl, gold, silver, and faux diamond. No need to break the bank though because these items are cheap and chic at charming charlie, forever 21, aldo, go jane, qvc and icing.

Shoes

Walk in comfort and style with dexflex, baretraps, ynot, blowfish and oxfords. These brands can be found at shoe carnival, DSW, Payless, Zappos, and Amazon.

Click the red links above to add these items to your closet. Don’t hesitate to leave comments and questions; I love hearing from all my blog buddies. Good luck and happy shopping!

  2. Love this – well tailored and classic! I’ve also always had great luck getting my cardigans (“party cardis,” as I call them) at Gap or J Crew Outlet. May be worth a check for some solid, long-lasting professional wear.

    Thanks for the tips!
